Welcome to Indigenously Creative!
Empowering Culture through Digital Innovation
At Indigenously Creative, we believe that the digital frontier is the new canvas for Indigenous storytelling, sovereignty, and economic empowerment.
What We Offer
Whether you are looking to revitalize local storytelling or equip your members with marketable digital skills, we provide two flexible ways to learn:
- On-the-Ground Workshops: Our talented roster of artists is ready to travel directly to your community to facilitate hands-on, in-person training.
- Virtual Classrooms: We offer interactive, high-quality Zoom workshops that bring the expert to you, no matter how remote your location.
Founded by Brittany Thompson, our company serves as a vital bridge between world-class Indigenous artists and the remote communities and reservations that are often left behind by the traditional arts industry. We recognize that while our communities are rich in talent and tradition, geographic isolation and the digital divide can create barriers to modern professional training. We exist to dismantle those barriers by providing high-level, culturally rooted workshops in graphic design, videography, theatre, music, and web development, with a specialized focus on digital skills and technology-based art forms.

Testimonials/Reviews!
"Transforming Our Narrative"
"We brought an Indigenously Creative instructor to our community for a workshop in videography and editing. For the first time, our youth weren't just the subjects of a film; they were the directors, editors, and producers. The impact of having an Indigenous mentor who understands our land and our protocols is immeasurable. Our youth are now planning their own community news channel!" — Chief Sarah M., Remote Northern Settlement (In-Person Workshop)
"Bridging the Gap through the Screen"
"Because of our location, it's often difficult to get professionals to visit us. We booked a series of virtual Graphic Design workshops through Indigenously Creative. Our members learned how to use professional design tools to create posters and logos for our local businesses. It's opened up a whole new world of remote work possibilities for our young people without them ever having to leave their territory." — David G., Economic Development Officer (Virtual Workshop)
"Healing and Creating on the Land"
"Travelling to different reservations as a theatre mentor for Indigenously Creative has been the highlight of my career. Teaching in person allows for a deep, spiritual connection that goes beyond the virtual screen. I saw students who were shy and quiet find their voices through performance and the freedom of the stage." — Jordan T., Multimedia Artist & Theatre Performer (Travelling Artist)
"Global Connections from my Home Studio"
"As a digital illustrator, I love that I can facilitate virtual workshops for different communities each month. Indigenously Creative handles all the logistics, allowing me to focus on teaching. Last week, I taught a class on 'Digital Beading'—using vector software to create traditional patterns. One student told me they never thought a computer could be a 'cultural tool' until that class. It's an honor to be part of a roster that values our digital future as much as our history." — Elena W., Digital Artist (Online Facilitator)
A message from the Indigenously Creative founder, Brittany Thompson
tânisi!/Ąba wašté! Brittany Thompson nitisiyihkâson/emagiyabi and I am a nêhiyaw iskwêw and Nakóda wîyâ from Nekaneet First Nation on the Treaty 4 Territory. I am the founder of Indigenously Creative, a digital space where artists and Indigenous communities can connect. This platform was born from a simple but vital realization: our remote communities and reservations are overflowing with untapped creative potential, yet often lack access to the modern tools and training needed to thrive in today's digital landscape.
I founded Indigenously Creative to bridge that gap. We are a specialized collective designed to connect Indigenous communities with top-tier Indigenous artists who are masters of their craft. Our focus is unique—we prioritize digital skills and technology-based art forms, ensuring our youth and knowledge keepers alike can tell our stories using the most powerful tools of the 21st century.
"I founded Indigenously Creative because I believe that geographic isolation should never be a barrier to creative excellence or professional opportunity. Growing up and working within our communities, I saw firsthand the incredible talent residing in remote areas and reservations, but I also saw the digital divide that often kept our storytellers from accessing modern tools. My goal was to create a bridge—a platform where the best Indigenous digital mentors can share their expertise in graphic design, film, and technology-based arts, whether by traveling directly to a community or connecting through a screen. I invite you to join us in this mission: by supporting Indigenously Creative, you are helping to ensure our people have the training they need to lead the digital frontier and keep our culture thriving in the 21st century."
